Carolien de Boer
I work as a Senior Policy Advisor for Visual Arts & Art in Public Space and am the program leader of the art program Gemene Grond at the Municipality of Utrecht. As a mediator, advisor, and project leader for art in public space at the Center for Visual Arts Groningen and the Municipality of Amersfoort, I oversaw numerous art commissions and acted as the municipal client for the 10-year art program Kunst in Vathorst.
In Amersfoort, I worked as an advisor on the establishment and collection curation of the Armando Museum, the merger of the museums, and the founding and new construction of Kunsthal KAdE. In Utrecht, I am the account manager for the Centraal Museum, BAK, IMPAKT, Casco, FOTODOK, and the new exhibition venue OP&.
Alongside this work, I co-founded the DepARTment store (a pop-up store focused on art and design), was a writer for the online platform Lucy in de Lucht, advisor for the Groningen Art Council, and organized various exhibitions. I graduated in Art and Art Policy from the University of Groningen.
